Community Guidelines

Apollo Matrimony is built to create a sacred, dignified, and safe environment for Tamil brides, grooms, and their families. To protect every member of our community, all users must abide by the following standards.

1. Be Genuine and Truthful

Honesty is the foundation of any enduring marriage:

• Provide accurate personal information regarding your age, marital status, education, profession, income, and family background.
• Upload clear, authentic, recent photographs of yourself. Do not post photos of celebrities, other people, heavily filtered caricatures, or AI-generated avatars.
• Profile misrepresentation will result in immediate and permanent account termination.

2. Treat Everyone with Dignity and Respect

Every family deserves courtesy and kindness:

• Harassment, threatening messages, abusive language, stalking, or inappropriate sexual overtures are strictly unacceptable.
• Derogatory remarks regarding caste, sub-sect, religion, gender, or physical appearance are grounds for an instant, permanent ban without warning.
• Respect decisions gracefully. If a family declines your expression of interest, honor their choice without repeated unwelcome messaging.

3. Keep Money and Financial Solicitations Out

Matrimony is about lifelong companionship, never financial gain:

• Never ask for or send money, gifts, loans, travel expenses, cryptocurrency, or bank transfers.
• Scammers often invent urgent emotional crises, customs hold-ups, or medical emergencies. If any user requests money for any reason, report them immediately.
• Apollo Matrimony will never contact you asking for your bank PIN, OTP, or password.

4. Protect Personal Privacy and Contact Details

• Do not publish phone numbers, home addresses, WhatsApp links, or national ID details in open, public profile fields.
• Utilize the interest approval flow and our secure in-app messaging system until mutual comfort and trust are established between both families.

5. One Account Per Prospective Candidate

• Duplicate accounts or unauthorized commercial broker profiles operating without disclosure are prohibited.
• Parents, siblings, or guardians may manage accounts on behalf of their loved ones with their explicit consent.
• Matchmaking bureaus and marriage agencies must apply for authorized agency partner accounts.

6. Zero Tolerance Policy and Reporting

We take community safety seriously. If you encounter any suspicious activity, disrespectful conduct, or fake profiles:

• Use the Report Profile button on the member's profile page.
• Email our Trust and Safety team at [email protected].
• Our team investigates all reports within 24 hours and takes decisive action, including account suspension and reporting criminal behavior to law enforcement.
